Approaching the finish line...

We started renovating the kitchen last October when we moved in, granted it was an abitious project. Nearly 10 months later and we finally have the end in sight. The last of the trim went in and is painted and the existing china hutch is stripped and ready for finishing!

Oh and somewhere in the middle of that we both passed our first (of 9) architectural licensing exams. Hopefully it won't take as long to complete them as it did the kitchen.

family vacation

This past weekend found Dave and I in Chicago for a Freeland family vacation. It was my second trip this summer, having ventured to the great windy city in May for the launch of "What a Difference a Year Makes". The city was even better the second time around with warm temps, good eats, and plenty of fun... as witnessed in the photo.
